May 2021 Progress Update


Core items:

. Released 0.13a.
. Released 0.13a public build.
. Updated final sneak peak priorities for 0.14.
. Implemented automatic error reporting system. Crash logs are now sent automatically online, but only once the game is launched again after crashing (and provided there is an internet connection). Note that this only applies to crashes. Odd and undesired behavior that doesn't cause the game to crash will still need to be reported directly to me (either by email, or by posting in the game's itch.io community page) in order for me to be made aware of them.


Content update:

. Added Mechagodzilla City gauntlet for Mechagodzilla Bilusiludo (MGB) in Arcade mode.
. Added Mechagodzilla City stage.
. Added Godzilla Filius' stage.
. Added "Tail Blow" chainsaw attack as MGB's new grab special.
. Added new grip attack for MV Rodan to fill his grab slot.
. Added new grip attack for Behemoth to fill his grab slot.
. Added new frontal dorsal beam special for Shin Godzilla.
. Added new heat ray special for Shin Godzilla.
. Added new magnetism ability for Godzilla 70s.
. Updated Godzilla 80s incinerator special attack.
. Megalon can now aim his horn laser.

Miscellaneous items:

. Various bug and crash fixes from previous version.
. Updated visuals for some characters.
. Added auto-guard option.


What to expect next:

. At this time, version 0.14 characters are now in development. 
. In between updates for 0.13 may happen but only once a significant number of crash logs are received. But main priority will be 0.14 character assets.
. Given the relatively long development cycle of asset creation, there will be only two progress updates highlighting progress. One will probably be in early August, and the other sometime late October to November.
. The first update will highlight current development progress and the second when the assets are completed and the programming block begins.
. Following the two updates above, a third update will (hopefully) include a trailer for 0.14 and the actual update itself, similar to how it was done with 0.13.
. IMPORTANT: As always, these are tentative timeframes only. Anything may change based on my IRL schedule and commitments.
